Carrier Oils

Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils to reduce its potency before topical application on the skin. This is important because essential oils are potent and can potentially irritate the skin if applied directly. 

It is important to consider the scent of the product when mixing carrier oils with essential oils. While most carrier oils are odourless, some of them have a distinct scent which may alter the smell of your essential oil. Additionally, it is also important that you follow the recommended dilution guidelines to avoid negative skin reactions.
